Founded in 2012, Qitian Gene specializes in the research and application of recombinase-aided isothermal nucleic acid amplification technology (commonly known as RAA technology), developing an innovative platform for rapid on-site molecular testing using RAA. The platform integrates sample-preparation techniques, nucleic acid detection technologies, and complementary instruments, offering a comprehensive molecular testing solution tailored to meet the demand for swift, on-the-spot analysis under all-weather field conditions. It effectively addresses critical challenges such as limited access to electricity and shortages of trained personnel in remote environments. As a specialized, niche, and innovative high-tech enterprise, Qitian Gene seamlessly combines raw material production, cutting-edge R&D, product design, and technology commercialization into one integrated operation.
After more than a decade of technological innovation and expertise accumulation, leveraging RAA technology, the company has successfully undertaken two major national projects: the "13th Five-Year Plan" National Key Project on Major Infectious Diseases and the Ministry of Science and Technology's flagship initiative, "Public Safety Risk Prevention, Control, and Emergency Technology Equipment." Both projects have already passed national acceptance tests and resulted in the development of two Class III medical device registration products and two Class I product filings—remarkable achievements that underscore the company's cutting-edge capabilities. In 2021, the company was selected to lead Wuxi City’s key technological research project aimed at tackling critical challenges in COVID-19 prevention and control. In 2023, it joined the National "14th Five-Year Plan" Key R&D Program focused on "Major Natural Disaster Prevention and Public Safety," while also taking charge of Wuxi City’s "Taihu Light" science and technology innovation project that same year. To support its advanced R&D and manufacturing capabilities, the company boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a GMP-compliant production facility, an independent quality inspection laboratory, a dedicated R&D center, and an advanced instrument production line.
