[Abstract] The snail *Oncomelania hupensis* is the sole intermediate host of *Schistosoma japonicum*, and infective snails are one of the major risk factors for schistosomiasis transmission. Therefore, detecting infective snails plays a critically important role in the prevention and control of schistosomiasis. Recently, the Jiangsu Institute for Schistosomiasis Control has developed a recombinase-aided nucleic acid isothermal amplification fluorescence assay specifically designed to identify infective *O. hupensis* snails harboring *S. japonicum*. This method boasts advantages such as rapidness, high sensitivity, and ease of operation, making it worthy of further large-scale trials.
