Malaria is one of the globally significant vector-borne infectious diseases that seriously threaten human health. It is prevalent in more than 90 countries and regions worldwide, primarily in tropical and subtropical areas. Over half of the world’s population lives in malaria-endemic regions. According to statistics, tens of millions of people are infected with malaria each year; in Africa alone, 500,000 children under the age of five die from malaria annually, making it one of the most critical public health issues globally. Early diagnosis and treatment of malaria are crucial for its prevention and control.
