In this study, a rapid reverse-transcription recombinase aided amplilication (RT-RAA) as say was developed to de-tect respiratory syncy tal vius (Rsv suberoups A and B, respectively, The reaction was perlormed at 39"cin lessthan 30 min. The analytical sensitivities of RsVA and RsVB at95% probability by pro bit regression analysis were38copies per reaction and 35 copies per reaction, respectively, and no cross reactions with other related respira-tory viruses were o bserved, The RT-RAA assay was furt her utilized to detect and subgroup 306 clinical specimensand the res ults showed that79(25.82%, 79/306 ) samples were positive for Rsv, of those 16(20.25%, 16/79) wereidentified as RsVA and 63( 79,7 5%, 63/79) were RSvB, which is completely consistent with the results obtained byRSV RT-gPCR assay. in conclus ion, the developed RAA as say will be of benelit as a faster, sensitive and specific al-temative tool for detection ofR5V.
